The theme of the special issue focuses on the transformative impact of innovations and digital competences in the context of education. It seeks to investigate the dynamic interaction between technological advancements and the development of digital skills within educational settings.

Coverage:

Technological integration in education: It will explore how various technologies, such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and online learning platforms, are integrated into educational practices. Investigate the challenges and benefits of incorporating these tools in classrooms.

Pedagogical approaches:  It will examine different pedagogical strategies employed to leverage digital tools effectively. This includes flipped classrooms, project-based learning, or other innovative teaching methods that capitalize on digital resources.

Digital competence development: It will investigate the ways in which students and educators acquire and enhance digital skills. It will analyse curricular initiatives, training programs, and extracurricular activities designed to promote digital competences.

Assessment in the digital age: It will explore new approaches to assessing students' digital skills and the impact of technology on traditional assessment methods. It will include the challenges and innovations in evaluating digital competences within educational frameworks.

Socio-cultural implications: It will examine the broader societal and cultural implications of integrating technology in education. It will consider issues related to digital equity, access, and the evolving role of educators and students in a technologically driven educational landscape.
