Harassment in any field: school, work, street, etc., limits performance and can even go so far as to abandon productive activities. An offensive phrase, a leering look or a sexual touching, are everyday experiences when it comes to commuting to school or work in the life of a woman in virtually all sociocultural contexts. Sexual harassment in public places is an invisible component of everyday interactions, which affects the lives of many people, but is rarely talked about. The brevity of its duration, as well as the veiled way in which it is often presented, disguising itself as flattery, whispering in the ear or blending into the crowd, they make it seemingly intangible (Gaytan, 2007).
Javier Zavala-Rayas, Georgina Lozano-Razo ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://patme-journal.iatels.com/index.php/patme/article/view/60 Wed, 20 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0300 Sustainable Development of Society: The Interrelation Between Demoethics and Democracy http://patme-journal.iatels.com/index.php/patme/article/view/62
The aim of this conceptual analysis is to explore the relationship between "Democracy" and "Demoethics" as tools for transforming sustainable development in society. The study adopts a general methodological approach, specifically a systems approach that incorporates logical synthesis, goal setting, and goal decomposition methods. The results reveal that "Democracy" is a political strategy and form of governance based on the principles of "Demoethics." The concept is rooted in the idea that sustainable development can only be achieved by adhering to ethical rationalities that strike a balance between economic, social, and environmental needs. The study concludes that Demoethic components, such as education and nurturing, contribute to holistic personal development by fostering intellectual growth, knowledge acquisition, and application of scientific principles. The integration of education and nurturing, well-developed intellect, knowledge acquisition, scientific principles, and honest work all contribute to sustainable development. Therefore, the application of the "Demoethics" concept helps shape individuals who possess ethical rationality to make decisions that balance economic, social, and environmental needs and display moral behavior in any life situation, thereby enhancing the quality of life and societal competitiveness.
Rinat Zhanbaev, D. In order to understand if the adversarial process places an extreme burden of inequality of arms during the investigative stage, the researchers have conducted 45 case studies on retired Police officers who have handled criminal investigation. The retired officers were asked about their socio-cultural backgrounds, their education, tenure of service, number of years served in investigative capacity, the factors on which they based their decision to arrest, the social indicators which matter according to them in making arrest decisions, and the efficacy of different interrogation methods according to them. The researchers tried to find out if adversarial interrogation techniques are geared towards inculpation only. 57.78% officers did not show incrimination bias and stated that they took on record exculpatory evidence produced by accused persons during investigation. Between urban and rural-born officers, the preference for investigation differed most in using coercive techniques. The researchers also undertook an online survey of civilians about their preferences in case of answering criminal accusations. A majority of the 174 respondents tilted in favour of a participative process where they could contribute to their defence at the investigative stage. This paper makes a pitch for a suitable hybrid of the adversarial and inquisitorial systems in matters of criminal investigation and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for classifying inculpatory and exculpatory information from the records of investigation.
Anuradha Parasar, Aaditya Gore ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://patme-journal.iatels.com/index.php/patme/article/view/63 Wed, 20 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0300 Constructivism And Dialogic Learning In Online English Training: English IATELS Case Study http://patme-journal.iatels.com/index.php/patme/article/view/64
This paper is aimed to describe the experience of training English communicative skills online based on the principles of social constructivism and dialogic learning.
